Hi all,

M apologies for the lack of updates. I am still having to borrow an internet connection while my router is undergoing repairs, and I am having some pregnancy complications (hyperemesis gravidarum), so I have been banished to bed for a few days. :( I am hoping to be able to get regular updates up and running again this week, since I am now rehydrated and lightly medicated so that I can keep food and water down.

I'm posting this entry to let everyone know that our main phone number has changed. The new number, which is a dedicated business line (as opposed to using our cell phone numbers previously) is: 505.750.ITDH (505.750.4834). Ours of operation are 8am - 8pm Mnday - Friday, and 9am - 8pm Saturday and Sunday. Of course, petsits begin earlier and run later.

If you have an emergency and need to contact us immediately, feel free to use our cell phone numbers, but we ask that for regular bookings, etc that you use the new number, since it keeps our costs down.

And now, a quick update on your pets:

L.AL: B was still a bit sore today. I'm hoping that we didnt run her too hard on Friday! We took it easy on her today, poor baby girl. She was still very excited, as was R, but definitely limping a bit on that left rear leg. Hopefully she wasnt too full of energy when you got home today! We have really been trying to wear them out, and she does alot of jumping and twisting at the park, so we will keep a close eye on her this week and make sure that isnt contributing to it.

M.SL: J was a happy, lovey boy as usual today! Full of smiles!!! Had a great time on his walk - i dont think he ever really has a bad time, unless a storm is coming in, and even then he still sniffs around and smiles, but wants to make it quick! Got all his meds and the dreaded spray, as well as fresh water and some food and treats.

Normally I would have some pics for you guys, but since I'm on a borrowed connection, I dont have the 30 minutes it takes to upload them! :)

Before I lose my connection, I wanted to post a few things about services, and the inevitable "bad things happen".

On occasion, things happen. Like when my daughter was hospitalized, and my horrible morning sickness, etc. We try as hard as we can to avoid these things, but unfortunately life happens, and it happens to us too.

Our policy is that if we are going to be late, we will contact you to let you know that something has delayed us, and we will be there as soon as possible. We do not charge for these visits, and in most cases I will throw in an additional free visit for the inconvenience. We do have instances where a petsit may run over (ill pet, etc), and that causes us to spend more time with that pet to ensure their safety, causing us to run late. Also, recently my daughter was hospitalized, and we have had a rash of follow up appointments with her primary doctor as well as a Renal specialist to ensure that her kidneys did not suffer any permanent damage. Unfortunately, these appointments can als run long, since labwork has to be done, and they need us to wait for the results since it is such an important issue. Just this morning her half hour appointment went for 2 hours solely because of labwork alone. She still has a high white cell count, so that labwork is essential in determing treatment. Also, I am not always available these days, due to suffering some very bad morning sickness, and being ordered to bed rest since the morning sickness has left me dehydrated and weak. Thankfully we have Brian to back me up, so even if we are running late, we will not miss a sit.

I would like to thank you all for being so flexible and understanding. I know that you rely on us to care for your babies, and it's not a common occurence for us to be more than 30 minutes late. And of course, if we are running late we make efforts to contact you so that you are aware of what time we are going to be there.

We are back on time for the rest of todays sits, so no worries, folks. I just wanted to reiterate that unfortunately things happen, and in the event that they do, we will make every effort to not only be there ASAP, but we will also never charge you for visits where we are not on time.

Also, if I am your preferred sitter, I want to thank you for your understanding and patience while I am suffering through the first trimester. I have some health issues that complicate pregnancy, and I am not always able to push past them and work my usual 13 hour days. I make every effort to be the one that takes care of your pets, but I do have to have Brian take over for me on those days where my health issues are just too much. Brian has met all of your pets, and also has experience in Veterinary Medicine. He is wonderful with animals of all kinds, and I guarantee that your pets are getting the same amount of love and care from him as they do from me. We guarantee that we will never miss a visit, and again, if for some reason we are running late, we will contact you. Today was our first instance where we were more than 30 minutes behind, and thankfully have caught up.

I just wanted to share this with all of you, so that you are aware of what will happen in the event that we are delayed. I've been doing this for years, and have yet to find a single petsitter that hasnt had something pop up on occasion. And with winter edging up on us, I wanted to get this out there, since weather is also a factor. Thankfully we don't have a to of snow out here, but it does happen. I remember last year It took me over an hour just to get to a petsit due to icy roads in the morning!

I know this post may seem unnecessary, but I want our policy on this to be clear. And I want all of you to know that although life happens, we will still be there.

Hi guys! Just wanted to give everyone a heads up on the status of the blog.

We have been having some network problems. Our internet connection has been unreliable at best lately, and I fear our router may be dying. Trying to get it fixed, but it seems to only work when it wants to (I'm using my mother's internet to post this). Looks like I may have to just replace it. Which is tough since i use a USB modem through Verizon, so it takes a certain type of router, which isnt exactly cheap. The modem itself works, but the computers are all new, and finding the drivers to use it as a stand alone has proven to be rough. Maybe I should just upgrade the whole system and call it a day!

I also had a bout of horrible sickness for the last 3 days. Feeling better today, but that was a very rough time. I had forgotten how rough the first trimester is!
Anyway, with any luck with some tech support today, I should be able to have everything back up and running tonight or tomorrow morning. Thankfully my email comes to my Blackberry, so you guys can still reach me via email.

Sorry for the lack of pics today guys, but I am feeling way under the weather this evening. My back is all outta whack and the morning sickness can't tell time. This is the first day I have felt truly horrible. :(

S.AM. The kids are still doing well! P managed to keep her sweater on all day, despite S's efforts to remove it! N is being a huge love bug, as is G, and Da is perched atop her spot on the kitty condo. Do is back under the bed for the time being. But at least she did come out some while I was here! S and P have been playing a ton today! It's hilarious! M is still eyeing the door, like I dont know she isnt allowed out there! Silly kitty! They are all pretty laid back tonight, maybe they know I'm feeling icky. They all ate well today, and I'm sure I will have a bedful tonight! Hopefully the house looks ok. I vacuumed last night, since it was getting a little furry! Also going to pooper scoop the back yard in the morning. :)

H.AM. S and B were both perky and happy today! I'm sure they will be so happy to see you guys tomorrow though! Lots of playtime and lovin today, as well as treat hunting! P and H were fairly mellow, just kinda hanging out and watching Brian clean the litter boxes. S's leg is still looking good, not a single limp since you guys have been gone! Everyone ate well today, although B still really wants a little extra with his food!

D.CO. Brian talked with you earlier, but U was awesome today. Happy to get out and about and not a limp to be seen. He got all his PT (I think he is counting the seconds until the balance board goes away though!), and his massage this afternoon, and was very pleased! Had his kong and fresh water this afternoon, ate well today (of course!) and was just his usual happy, lovey, smiley self. It's weird seeing him so early in the evenings now! Had gotten used to going so much later!

M.SL. J was a happy boy again today! I swear that he is THE happiest dog on earth. Had a great walk and lots of love, as well as his usual meds and treats and all that good stuff. It still cracks me up that he tries to slink off when the spray comes out, but he always stops at the bedroom door!

L.AL. Tried to make sure B and R were worn out again today! Walked to and from the park, and they did great! They are getting really really good and being near strange people, and even managed to pretty much ignore an off leash dog! As long as they are on the other side of the street, we're usually good! They seemed pretty tired by the time they were done today, but I think they are hiding coffee somewhere since they usually have a second burst of energy right as we leave. I think my feeling bad confuses them, poor guys. I'm usually so excited to see them, and today I was just blah. Hope they know that doesnt mean I dont love them any less!

I promise to upload pics and stuff tomorrow. I am just so beat tonight and icky tonight. I forgot how rough the first trimester can get. :(

Day late on the update, sorry guys! My internet connection was acting up, so I had to spend a little time with tech support this morning to get it working again. Gotta love technology!

UPDATES FOR SUNDAY:

S.AM. Talked with you a bit this morning, right before Do scared the bejeezus out of me in the hallway! Wasnt expecting to see her out there and we both jumped a bit! Everyone is doing great. S and P are playing up a storm! G took over the dog bed, laying right in the middle, looking rather princely! N has become my newest shadow, she follows me around in search of ear scratches and belly rubs. She is the sweetest thing ever! She slept with me for a bit last night....or should I say us, since I also had P, M, and G in bed with me! Lots of snuggles! This morning Miss M was really lovey, kneading on me and even wanting Belly rubs! Da is, of course, still a huge lover. She got her lovins and belly rubs too! She still makes me feel like she is going to fall right off the cat condo though! Everyone is eating and drinking well, and being very lovey! As soon as I can get the Camera off of B I will post pics! Took some video of the girls playing as well, but not sure how it came out yet.

H.AM. S and B are doing great! B seems to be moving past the "but i want something else with my food!!!' hump, and S is just the sweetest girl. She still seems to think that she is a lap dog, though! H and P are doing awesome too. P is a little lovier than H, but H has finally figured out that we are there to love on him, too. The treat hunts continue to amuse us, and even my own dogs are starting to get better at it now! (they must have heard us talking about how awesome it is to watch S and B do it!).

M.SL. Always good to see J on a weekend! He was a smiley, trotting boy yesterday, and was happy to get out and about. I really do love that he always has a smile for us, it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy! Not to mention he seems to help with the morning sickness. Apparently the cure for that (and really it should be called ALL DAY sickness!) is a smile from J, some kisses, and playing dead! I have to say that when you guys go back home I am gonna miss him like crazy!

It's been a long day, but only because I feel icky! Thankfully it's hard to focus on feeling icky when you're with adorable fur babies all day!

S.AM: Had a full bed last night! P, G and Da were sleeping with me last night. And this morning, Miss M joined in, climbing up on the bed for some lovins. It was adorable! I think at some point Do came out last night, but I was so groggy I couldnt tell if it was her or Da! By morning, it was just P, G, and Da in bed with me though. S continues to amuse me to no end. She loves to play with me, and of course, P must join in. N is just a huge sweetheart. So mellow, and so sweet. She loves getting her ears rubbed! Still having a great time with them all. They are all eating drinking, and behaving very well. G still follows me around all the time. He is my little shadow! And i have yet to wake up without him either on, or near my head! It's really sweet and cute. How can anyone resist him??? Hope you all are having a blast!!

H.AM. S is still doing soooo well, and is still all over Brian! B is doing great, but is starting to get a bit picky with his food. We're trying a few new things, and I think Im going to pick up some Chicken Broth tomorrow and see if he digs that with his food. He is still eating though, we've just had to be creative today. More cheese seems to work, but I've found that the majority of picky dogs really like some warm chicken broth on their food, so it's worth a shot! The treat hunts are still going well! S got the most last time, but B doesnt give up easily! H and P are doing great too. They seem to wonder why we keep leaving only to come back again in a few hours. Check out the video B took of the treat hunt!

G.LI: B was a happy girl this morning! Really happy to get out today. She was not interested in a walk this morning, so we took her outside to go potty and played and loved on her outside. I think she is missing you and is a little upset over it. Like she thought if she left the house she might miss you coming back or something. She got lots of belly rubs and hugs and kisses (how can you resist that face, right?), but seemed sad when we had to leave. I'm sure she was thrilled to see you today! Unfortunately we forgot the camera (lost my phone, and BB has no SD card at the moment...).

B.SI: C was her usual frisbee bearing self tonight! Still have one more visit with her tonight, but she was very happy to have her dinner visit and walk! Went over to the park as usual, and she got to sniff around. She was wagging and smiling the whole time. I don't think I've ever seen her less than happy!

Please forgive the short update tonight, but I am feeling LOUSY, and, as luck would have it, my phone somehow managed to disappear today, along with my memory card, that has all the pictures on it. Luckily, I have a plethora of phones, and was able to switch back to my Blackberry, and the only thing that was lost was the pics for today. I will get pics tomorrow though, I promise!

S.AM: P and G slept with me again last night! It's really adorable. P curls up under the covers with me, and G seems to like to lay right on top of my head! M has been VERY social today, and seems to really want to sneak outside, but I make sure she isnt near the door when I open it. Da has been hanging out in her usual spot, and is soooo lovey! I love her little purr! Do is still feeling me out, but has been sneaking out at night. Got up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night and saw her in the hallway. N is enjoying all the affection. She is such a mellow girl! S was playful last night and today, and was playing with P and myself! At one point she was spinning in circles! So cute!!!! Going to try to get video of it tomorrow morning sometime. Everyone is eating and drinking well, and the kitties seem to appreciate the love and clean litter boxes.

H.AM: S and B are both doing great! S really likes to try to snuggle with Brian! The girl dogs seem to really love him for some reason! Both are eating and drinking well, and love all the affection and playtime. P has turned out to be a huge lover kitty, and H has warmed up as well! Such cuties! The treat hunts continue to amuse us like mad. I really wish my dogs were as good at that game!

D.CO: I know B already talked to you about U's appointment. Wish I could've made it, but the morning sickness was really really bad this morning. I really wish it would go away already! Anyway, it is good to know he is losing weight AND gaining muscle back in that leg! WOOHOO!!!!!!!! Had his PT on his afternoon visit , although I think he was miffed that the balance board didnt go away. Great walk tonight. Glad that we are getting out a bit earlier with him. The GC is starting to get deserted later at night already.

L.AL: B and R had a blast with today. Had a great time at the park, although had to leave a bit early since there was a BIG dog that was off leash, and B was not pleased with that at all. She is used to having the park to herself, and Sir R of course! They should be pretty tired either way though. Lots of playtime at the park, and afterward. Im not sure they can be entirely tired out without the help of one of those ball pitching machines! I'm thinking of turning them into a sled team during the winter to wear them out!

We missed J today, hope that you are feeling better M!

It's been a pretty good day! I have more energy today than I have in awhile - I have to thank S.A and her hubby for that. Staying overnights there has been relaxing and I've actually been able to sleep! Anyway, on with the updates!

S.AM: The kids were so much fun last night and this morning. G was SO lovey last night that it was making me giggle! He wanted to be right up in my face, nibbling on my nose and sniffing at my eyes! So funny! P did her dance for me, which is the cutest thing ever, and S has taken to running up to me and giving me her paw and then getting lots of hugs, kisses, and scratches under her collar. M is being more social as well, getting a good 20 minutes of love this morning before deciding that she would rather just wander around the house. Da got lots of love as well, but she wiggles so much that I'm afraid that she is going to fall off the cat condo! Do came out for a bit today, but is still wondering who I am, and why I am there, but at least she is starting to come out! N has also really gotten lovey, wanting to be petted often, and this afternoon at feeding time she was more interested in being loved in before she ate. They are all doing great (even the fish!) and are really just a bunch of sweethearts! P and G slept with me again last night as well!

H.AM: S has really taken a shine to Brian, and even layed in his lap today! B is perky as ever, and was the Champion of the last treat hunt. B is trying to get some good video of it, but they are faster than we are! S's leg is still looking good, and they are both eating and drinking well, and of course, are getting lots of love! Heading to do their evening visit in just a few minutes.

D.CO: U was his usual self today, although this afternoon I did bust him on the chair. Left you a note about it, and moved the kitty scratcher onto the chair so he wouldnt jump back up there! Leg was looking good today, and he was in a great mood! Walked through the neighborhood this morning, and did his PT this afternoon. Off to the golf course here in a bit!

M.SL: It was so good to see Jax today! I missed that little guy! He was all smiles and even took us on a different course for his walk today. Very happy boy! Even played dead for me, which we all know is my favorite. :)

G.LI: B was a happy girly today! Phone died before we could get any real pictures, but as you can see she wanted belly rubs before her walk! Made sure she had water and all that, and gave her lots of love and some treats before crate time.

Well, I started updating this, and then wham! Power shuts off! Lost an entire update!

I'm getting the text updates started now, and will post pics later tonight after Brian and I have uploaded all the pics and video.

S.AM: Everyone did great overnight! G decided that my toes were some sort of sheet mouse that must be pounced upon before settling down behind my knees. P slept curled up against my tummy, and everyone else settled onto couches and the futon etc. Do is still hanging out under the bed, but has been peeking out at me on occasion, so I just see this little black head pop out! Hoping she will come out all the way this evening sometime. Da has roamed the halls a bit, and went back to her perch on top of the kitty condo, of course! She purrs like a little freight train though! Just loves affection! S is constantly cracking me up. She always has a huge smile on her face, and wants to play or get scratches. Such a sweet girl. N loves to cuddle on the couch, but of course P must join us, and G has to oversee it all! Having a great time with them all, and they are all eating and drinking well, and are being angels!

H.AM: S is really warming up to us, and is just a beautiful girl! No signs of anything with her leg so yay there!! B is a little more boisterous, he loves to run around us and bark a bit until he gets attention. Then he is just a lover. We are still getting a kick out of watching them do their treat hunts, since our dogs arent half as good at it (they just give up after a bit!). Both eating and drinking well. The kitties are doing great too. P is much more affectionate, and H is still wondering who the heck we are and why we are there.

D.CO: U was his smiley self today, and was really much more interested in getting out than in doing his PT. But I got him to do it anyway. Bribery with treats always works! he seems to be wondering why I'm moving slower than usual and every once in awhile will give me a little nudge. Left you a note about the trash guys. :)

L.AL: They're not all the way run down, but they are close! I was feeling horrid after my usual sits this morning/afternoon so Brian ran up to take care of B and R. I think his shoulder may fall off from throwing the ball, but by the time they were done, B and R wanted nothing but water, and to lay on the kitchen floor. Of course, I've done that before and seen them bounce back up, so hopefully they are thoroughly worn out and napping peacefully!

M.SL: J was, of course, awesome! I feel like I'm always saying the same thing about him, but hey, he is a great dog and never really strays from his routine. Always happy and smiley, and trots around like a pup! Makes my day!

Hi guys! Sorry it took me so long to do the update tonight. I have a flame point siamese attached to me and we have been playing and snuggling. :) I'm a sucker for a sweet cat!

D.CO: Already talked to you tonight so not much else to report! Thinking if it's warm enough U and I will stroll down by the river in the morning!

M.SL: J was smiley again today! I don't know how he does it, but I think I wanna come back as him in my next life. Always so happy and full of wonder. It's awesome! Had a great walk, complete with smiling and deer like trotting.

G.LI: B was her usual perky self today! All about the belly rubs! Had a nice stroll, and also let P out while we were there.

H.AM: S and B were awesome this afternoon and this evening. S is doing great on that knee, no signs of a limp at all. They are both such sweet dogs! S and B are so much better at the find the treat game than our dogs are! It's awesome to watch! Made sure their water was full, and that everyone was fed and loved on. P was very lovey, but H has yet to be convinced that we are not going to eat him. :( Didnt manage to get any pics, since we are geniuses and only took one phone - that was dead! Hopefully we will get some awesome pics in the morning.

S.AM: I'm currently being snuggled by a G kitty!! He is the loviest cat ever! P is a close runner up for house lover though! They have all been great today! Talked to you a bit earlier, and have not seen Do yet. Da did come out and assume her position atop the kitty condo though! S has been great, and has the biggest smile! Makes me smile back! Her and P have been playing and vying for attention. N was nervous at first, but is already settling in and wanting to hang out on the couch and have her ears rubbed. M seems to be pretty unphased by it all! Sorry the pics arent the best. My phone cam isnt the best, and I can't get them to hold still much!!!! They all ate well tonight (well, Do didnt come out, but I expected that. Hopefully tomorrow!), and I made sure that their water is full. Brian came by earlier, and I let the girls out for a pot break while he took care of the litter boxes. So far so good, although I'm not sure G is gonna leave my side unless I'm in the shower!

Well folks, I have yet another ITDH announcement!

Effective rather soonish, my (Kimberly) services will be limited. Brian and I found out today that I am approx. 5 weeks pregnant. :)

I will continue with my personal clients until my Doctor says its no longer OK, and will no longer be able to service cats without Brian in tow (no cat boxes!). I am already feeling fairly icky, so occasionally Brian will take over for me, but I intend to keep working until I can't anymore. No worries guys, you're not going to be without service! Even when I go into labor we will have you covered with our back up pet sitter (we will schedule meetings for our regular clients well in advance). We have a long ways to go yet, but we wanted to let everyone know that we will need to keep our schedules a little lighter, and will not be accepting too many new clients, just because I don't want to overextend us.

Sorry guys! The day got out from under me yesterday and I didnt quite make it to the blog. But, i have a great reason! Kalli was released from the Hospital yesterday afternoon, so I was busy getting her all taken care of, getting her meds, and being relieved that she was back home, and neither of us had to spend another night in the hospital (those cots they give ya are a killer! Very hard to sleep on, despite how exhausted I was!). Again, I want to thank each and every one of you for your well wishes, patience and understanding. I cannot tell you how much it meant to me that all of you were willing to support us through this time. If there is one thing on earth that I cherish, it is my child, and leaving her side was not an option. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you! We truly have the greatest clients in the world!

Now that I am done being all mushy, onto the updates!

9.19:

M.SL: Ya know, I ALMOST got to go with Brian to go see J, since my mother was at the hospital with my daughter, and I had a couple of hours to get out and try to relax. But the hospital called me back to release her, so I didnt get to go.:( I cannot wait to see him tomorrow! I have missed my little buddy! As you can see, he was a trotting, smiling, happy boy yesterday, and Brian had a blast with him, as usual. Although I don't think there is such a thing as a bad day with J! He is always so happy to see us, and so happy to get out and about.

B.SI: Miss C was all wags yesterday! Had her dinnertime walk, as well as her late walk, and got to go play and sniff at the park. Brian always has a blast with her as well. She is just such a lover girl, and always so excited to play and go walking. Ate well, and Brian made sure she had fresh water. She did go potty ALOT yesterday, wasnt anything abnormal, but thought you should know just incase.

B.SI: C was raring to go this morning! Brian took her on the usual walk, and to the park. She got to meet a very large Saint Bernard, although the big dog was more interested in other things. C didnt seem too offended though! Fed her breakfast, and got more fresh water, and lots of love! Was hard to get pics this morning due to the angle of the sun, but B managed to get at least one!

Well, I'm managing a mini update from the hospital. I dont have full details since I wasnt there, but I can pass along what Brian has tole me about everyone. And a few pictures that Brian emailed to me.

Also, I will be back to work on Monday. It is looking like my daughter won't be released until Sunday, but her bloodwork actually shows improvement, it is just slower than usual. Still waiting on the results of some other tests, and she had a CT scan today (all is well - she really is just responding slowly). I have a fabulous support system in my parents, and K will stay with the during the day while I work.

So, here is the mini update:

D.CO: U was apparently happy to get out into his backyard today. Seems like he really digs the trees. We have all been in contact today, so not much else to report. I'm sure Brian left you a note and all that good stuff. I do miss getting out about with U, and the way he beats the heck out of me with his tail. :) I think B got sme pics of U, but all I got on my end was blurry pictures. I'm thinking he meant to send better pics!

K.WA: I am really bummed out that I didnt get to spend time with F, but I know he kept Brian amused! He apparently is NOT a big fan of the rain, and Brian had to lure him out of the house with treats and toys just to get him to go potty while it was raining. He does great on the leash, and is just a huge lover. I'm so sad that I didnt get to go love on him and play with him too!

L.AL: Apparently it was HAILING at your house today! Got a text from Brian telling me that B and R were not amused since it was pouring rain, and then another text telling me that it had turned to hail, and R was having none of it! They did get lots of love and playtime though, which I miss as well. I am going to be so happy to get back to shredding toys with B and having R either in my lap, or kind of, sort of, maybe, considering playing with the ball with his sister!
Please note the "Excuse me, human?? This weather does not please me!" Look on R's face. SO CUTE! I really miss them!!!

M.SL: J was apparently his usual self today, although he is always a little hesitant when it looks like it may rain! But B spent lots of time playing with him (its adorable, they lay side by side on the floor together and J gets his belly rubbed!), and loving on him. Those 2 are a pair! Hi guys! I really wish I could give you some good news, but Kalli is not responding to treatment. They are takig her down for a CT scan to check for abscesses on her kidneys here in about a half an hour. I'm running on nothing but caffeine and adrenaline and hope at the moment, but i'm still here, so thats something!

Hard to get the blog upated since I'm nt actually out doing the petsits, I can tell you that everyone is fine, and keeping Brian busy and amused (especially F. He jumps into my car at every available opportunity an sits down and just smiles. Brian has a few pics of it, and it is just adorable! He is also a fast walker which we love! Keeps us going, and makes for a happy dog!

I'm going to get with Brian at some point today so we can do the blog for today. I know you are all anxious to see and hear about your babies, and I thank you so much for your patience! It's really hard to do much from the hospital, without any access to my main computer. Frustrating, let me tell you!

Come Monday, Kalli's dad is going to take over the morning/afternoon watch at the hospital, and I am going to work. My daughter needs me, but I am thinking that by then they should have her on the track to recovery. And honestly, I've been here since Tuesday, and I'm going a little stir crazy. Plus, I am emotionally drained, and nothng makes things feel better than the love of some furry kids, am I right?

Again, I would like to thank everyone who has shown infinite patience, support, and genuine concern during this time. It's pretty tough to run a business in general, but even harder when an emergency strikes. So again, thank you all. I'll be giving you some discounts here and there for being so awesome and sticking with us. ;)

ITDH status report

One again I would like to thank all of you for your words of encouragement, support, and flexibility. Brian is doing the best that he can under the circumstances, and I have to say I am glad to have him, since in most cases if a petsitter has something happen, there is no backup and everything gets cancelled. Lucky for us, we dont have to consider that option.

My daughter is still in the hospital, and will be here for at least another day, possibly 2. She is slow to respond to treatment, still has a spiking fever, still cannot hold anything down, and is still very scared and upset. I will have a few hours today and tomorrow where my mother is coming down to stay with her, so I may see some of you, and at least will see your pets for a bit. I can't d every sit right now, but I can get out during the afternoons and handle my usual sits, which is good since sitting here in this hospital isnt doint much for my sanity. Unfortunately I cannot just leave her with someone else for 12 hours and cover all the sits, and for that, i apologize. I know that this is an issue for some folks, and while we are still working out the kinks of dealing with this kind of emergency, I assure you that Brian isnt missing any sits, and that your pets are still being taken care of.

I will hopefully have the actual blog up and running tonight, kiddo's condition permitting. As those of you with children know, she has to come first. And again I thank each and every one of you for being so kind and understanding, and allowing me to care for my daughter during this time. My business means so very much to me, but my daughter is my entire world, and not being here for her is not an option.

I hope that all of you and yours are well. And I look forward to getting the heck out of here and spending time with your fur babies again.

Thanks to everyone that called or emailed and all that. My 8 year old daughter is currently in the hospital with a pretty fierce UTI/Kidney infection. She is scared, and sick, and well, mommy isnt holding up so well either. Brian is handling all petsits and financial matters until my daughter is released, which looks to be Friday at the very earliest. Thanks to everyone for your understanding, flexibility with key pick up, etc. I honestly appreciate it. Unfortunately we cannot foresee things like this, and all we can do is do our best to keep our heads above water. I have to tell you that although i hate sitting around not working, it is very important for me to be able to be with her at this time, and again, I cant thank all of you enough for being so supportive.

Sorry for the lack of updates, folks. My daughter is very sick, and I have been taking care of her and running her to urgent care and her doctor. She has a high fever and is now vomiting often. We are still doing all of our petsits, although Brian is doing most of them, and I am only covering the clients that insist on having me so that I can be here to care for my kiddo, and do the doctor's visits, etc. I will try and get the blog for today up tonight if i can get K to nap. Oh! While I am here and thinking of it, We are looking at chaning our payment policy. It will be posted on the website as well, but we are looking at requiring payment in advance for daily services, and a 50% deposit for out of town services. We have had some issues with non payment, and the like, and although we hate to have to be stricter with our payment policy, we have to pay the bills. We are also going to be offering a 5% discount for cash payment, so if you plan to pay in cash, please let us know in advance so that we can apply your discount! Also, don't forget about the referral program! For every new client that you refer to us, you will receive $5.00 off services. Not a bad deal, an nowadays, every penny counts! Anyway, just wanted to let you guys know about the upcoming changes before we post them on the site and send out the official notices. We will also be emailing you a copy of your invoice, as well as leaving the paper invoices for you. I'm not certain how it works, but after a certain amount, petsitting and dogwalking services are tax deductible!

Picked up the card reader, so we have pictures! Yay!

B.SI: So awesome to see C this weekend. She was a happy girl this morning, although we woke her up. She was excited to get out and walk, and check out all the new smells at the park. Beautiful morning out! She looks like a puppy again with her new haircut too! Anyway, had a wonderful walk, and she got lots of loving, as usual. Had breakfast and gave her fresh water too. Was so great to see her! Last night she was just hilarious! So happy to see us and was just having a blast. I have to say that our morning walks are my favorite, and she seems to love them just as much.

A.WH: The Pack was awesome this morning! (Last night too!) M was running around like mad, and was loving all the attention! A and G were fairly mellow, but really happy to see us, and Q was tentative at first, but soon decided that he really wanted me to scratch his ears! Got a few decent pics, but mostly they were little black blurs this morning! They all ate well last night, and I made sure they were drinking water. I'm sure they missed you, but I had a great time getting to know them. M is such a little lover, A and G are so sweet, and even Q has a sweet little heart. Looking forward to seeing them again next month!

M.SL: Had a great time with J this weekend! We woke him up this morning, and he stretched and yawned before we took him out for his morning walk. He actually walked us this A.M., leading to us to all his favorite places, and doing alot of wagging, smiling, trotting, and sniffing! Had a light breakfast and his meds, and lots of belly rubs. He seems to be very kissy lately, and it's the sweetest thing! Went back around 12:30, and we had another walk, lots of fresh water, and tricks and affection. Brian loves to find the spot that makes J's leg kick, and J was smiling, so I think he liked it too. Had another, longer walk on our evening visit, as well as dinner and the last of his meds. Made sure he had all his creams and sprays and all that this morning as well, and he seemed less itchy this afternoon and this evening. He ate his dinner like a champ, and got lots of lovin before we left. He is the sweetest boy, and his smile is just the best. I gotta tell ya, if there are days where you guys wont need us, we are gonna miss him like crazy. We have definitely bonded with him, and he is a bright spot in our day. We just love him! Hope you had a great time!

Since we have been having so many issues getting the pictured off of my phone and onto my Mac, i'm going to pick up a Micro SD Card reader today, so that we will always have pictures of your pets to show you! We have Windows Mobile phones, and they dont play well with our iMac, so instead of playing with bad file formats, and 2 hour uploads, we found a work around. We really want you to be able to see your fur babies while you are away!

Also, thanks to everyone who has been so patient while we looked for and tested out some new invoicing software. It looks like we are going with Express Invoice, since it is the easiest to use, and doesnt make the pricing hard to understand if we enter in a discount for you, or have to adjust tax rates, mileage, etc.

Hi all! Sneaking in a quick text update. It's late and I still have to pull the pictures off the camera and upload them, but wanted to at least get the text update on the blog for you all. No update from last night - my network was down all night last night, and it's been such a busy day for us (more personal than work - my daughter is starting soccer, and that had us running all over town and practicing today) that I just havent had the time to sit down and create yesterday's update. Unfortunately life can get crazy at times, and instead of compromising our pet care, we would rather skip a night on the blog. We do still leave you all personalized notes before we leave your petsits, though.

On to today:

M.SL: J was very happy to see us this morning. I think we woke him up! It was pretty early, but he jumped right up and was ready to head out for his morning walk. I love taking him out on the trail next to the complex, and he has a great time trotting along and sniffing around. He seemed a bit itchy today, so I made sure he got all of his meds, his creams, and his spray, and hung out a bit longer to make sure he didnt lick it off! Hopefully I will have a chance to upload the pics soon, since I have a lovely picture of Brian and J snuggling on the floor. Too cute! This afternoon he didnt want to be out as long, since a storm was rolling in, but we convinced him to walk aorund a bit, if nothing else so he could go potty. He did his tricks for us, and was very kissy! Got lots of ear rubs, belly rubs, and scratches on his favorite spot above his tail! This evening he was a little more relaxed, and very into his walk. He trotted around smiling and wagging, and checking out every tree and bush out there. He wanted to play when we got back, so Brian and I got down on the floor and played with him for a bit. He is eating and drinking well, and is in good spirits! On our last visit tonight, he seemed like he was ready for bed. Had a nice, but shorter walk, lots of snuggles, and he drank alot of water after his walk. Hung out for a bit, and took him out one last time before tucking him in for the night.

B.SI: C looks so pretty after her trip to the groomer!! And her fur is sooooo soft! She was a love, as always today. Ate well, drank water, and had a blast on her walk. Just as feisty on our late visit tonight, and she got lots of lovin and belly rubs! Had a lovely walk - weather was nice and cool, and she smiled the whole time. It's great to be spending time with her again.

A:WH: The pack was great tonight! They all seemed to remember us, and were just adorable vying for attention. They all ate well, and had some water. Fed the fish, was kinda neat to watch them eat. Played and loved on the dogs before tucking them in for the night. Looking forward to spending some time with them again in the morning!

I know, I know... I wasnt dressed like a dog walker today! *laughs* Had an appointment this afternoon before some of my walks, and no time to change. Thankfully walking in heels is a great workout!

D.CO: Talked to you earlier, not much else to report. U was perky and playful this morning, and had a great walk. Ate well, but managed to pick out the green beans! Still playful this afternoon, there is some shredded toy fluff on your carpet. Couldnt get all of it up! Had a short walk (must check for kitties!), and did some balance board work, and he did his side bends perfectly for me! Normally he protests a bit! Was so happy tonight that he followed me around while I got his harness and leash ready, and got his veggies out to thaw while we walked, rubbing against me and giving me lots of kisses. It got dark a bit earlier tonight, so it was fairly dark while we were at the GC tonight. Didnt run into anyone, but didnt even see many joggers tonight. U did see a black dog that he did not like AT ALL, so we went the other direction. He was very into leaving messages on trees tonight. I think he hit every tree there! Ate ravenously tonight, and I got him to do some more side bends. Looking forward to seeing what Dr. Hady has to say about his progress tomorrow.

K.KA: G was a huge lovebug today! He snuggled with me, and purred into my ear for a bit. Followed me around and rubbed on my ankles while I cleaned his litter box, freshened his food and water, and swept up the stray litter. Played with him for a bit, and of course he got his daily brushing. I am gonna miss that little guy!

G.LI: Sent you an email about the hole in your backyard! Wasn't there on Tuesday, so I thought you should know. B was excited as always today. Getting better and better on the leash. She is always such a love too! She certainly does love her belly rubs! I am thinking of trying her out on a run next week. She seems to do so much better at a faster pace. Here are a few pics of her posing for us today!

M.SL: J met us at the door today! His tail was wagging in full on helicopter motion! Gave him his meds and his usual treats. Had a great walk. It was gorgeous out today, and J was trotting like a puppy! And smiling like mad. He has the best doggy smile! It's contagious! Looking forward to getting to hang out with him again this weekend. And, if we don't get to talk to you before you leave, we're crossing our fingers for ya! :)

Finally have everything back up and running on the mac! I didn't realize it would be so much work to change over! But it's all finished up, and we are back up and running on the blog!

D.CO: U was a happy camper this morning! Had a great walk (complete with barking poodles!), and did some weaving work between the trees at the golf course. He seemed to think I was nuts for making him do it, but got him to do it a few times, and then we went on our merry way. He ate ravenously this morning, and got lots of loving and a bit of massage. This afternoon he was happy to get out, and we went across the street to check for kitties in the bushes. Didn't find any, but it made him happy anyway. Worked on the balance board, and he got his massage. Also got him to do some side bends for a treat. This evening we went back to the golf course and finally ran into people! Saw Cisco, Frankie, Ruby, Nellie, and a few other dogs whose names I can't remember. He was so happy to see everyone! A little pouty when we got back to the room. I am concerned that maybe the chimney people came in when I wasnt there, since he seemed really tense about going back into the room. He ate well, and was ok when I left. Still had me a bit worried though.

L.AL: B and R were very happy heathens today! Left you a note, since the holiday threw me for a loop and yesterday I thought it was Wednesday, so they ended up having a quick freebie visit yesterday. Worked out ok since R really had to go potty! Today we had a great walk, and B got all dusty at the park. Tried to clean up the tennis balls a bit, but didn't quite manage it! On our walk, we ran into a man from NM Gas Co, and B didn't even bark! Not once! I was so proud! Lots of loving today, King R spent some time in my lap.

K.KA: G was a happy, meowing, purring bundle of love today! He came running as soon as I opened the door, and never left my side the whole visit. We played with his bungee mouse toy, and of course, he got brushed alot. He let me pick him up and hold him as well, and he purred in my ear the whole time. Gave him fresh food and water and cleaned out his litter boxes.

M.SL: J was happy as usual today! Was all smiles and wags when we got there, and did some tricks for us and got lots of hugs and kisses and affection. There was a storm on it's way in, so he was a little nervous on our walk, but still wanted to go. Had a nice walk through the complex, made sure he went potty, then headed back for more affection. He was full of kisses today! Really makes me smile when he is so happy to see us! Left you a note, hope you got it!

B.SI: So awesome to see C again! She was so excited when we got there! Spent lots of time just loving on her, then went out for a potty break. Threw the frisbee a couple of times for her, and then set out for our walk. Walked through the neighborhood and over to the park, where we walked and she sniffed around alot. All smiles today! Had dinner when we got her back home. Refilled her water and gave her lots of affection before we left. Left you a note, just shoot me an email and let me know. I'm working on my email to you tonight, just to confirm all the dates.

Just a heads up! The blog has been down over the weekend due to some in house changes here at ITDH. I am currently in the process of moving the business from a PC to an iMac (between sits of course!) and it has proven to be harder than I realized. I've had to consult our IT guru more than a few times, and last night the iMac was having issues opening Jpeg's, which is the format used for all the pics we post, so that was a big issue. I think we have that one all figured out, now I just have to convince my Windows Mobile Phone that it's ok to sync with the Mac (ha!) and we are good to go! Wish me luck on that one. Otherwise it may take a good hour just to get the photos alone onto this thing so that i can upload them here. I'll be testing that out today, and hopefully the blog will be back up as usual tonight. Keep your fingers crossed!

What a day! Was gorgeous out (even with the storms), and just a great day to be out walking and playing with all my fur friends! Didnt get alot of pics today, was too busy playing with the dogs and cats! Sometimes I get caught up in being with them, and just forget to take a bunch of pics.

D.CO: Talked to you this morning after U's appointment, so not much to report there. This afternoon we tried out the balance board a bit more, since we only did a couple reps at the doc's office. He is stubborn about it at first, but once you get him on there, he is pretty good about it. He got his massage, and his kong, and has decided that the bed is most certainly his. Tonight I took Marleigh over to meet him, and it went really well! They did the usual sniffing, and U was jealous at first, but they soon fell in together and U was a very happy boy. Having a friend with him makes all the difference in the world. Too dark at the GC to take pics, and Im not sure if anyone U knows saw us, since Marleigh and U were pretty into hanging out with each other, and dragging me to every tree out there! U ate well today, and I made sure he had all his meds and fresh water. Great day!

L.AL: B and R were literally bouncing off the walls today! B was so excited that she ran into the sliding glass door as I was letting them out to go potty! Had a good walk to and from the park. Played ball a bit at the park and out back today. R wasnt as into the ball today, but still played. They are both being so good about keeping their focus on walking, and they both listen when I say "leave it". Lots of lovin today, and of course, treats! I will miss them on Monday! Got so wrapped up playing today that I only got 1 picture. But I have the best job in the world, so I cant feel too bad!

K.WE: S was splayed out in the bedroom today. So cute! Gave her fresh food and water and scooped her litter. Played with the toy mice and she let me hold her and scratch her ears! Such a lover kitty! Gave her a little catnip on her ramp before I left.

M.SL: J was fabulous, as usual! He was a bit nervous due to the storms rolling in an out today, and I have to tell ya that it's hard to leave him on those days. I worry about him! Gave him his meds and his spray before our walk. He was happily trotting around today...I just love his trot! Got him to do tricks today as well. "Play Dead" never fails to amuse me! I am really looking forward to getting to spend time with him this weekend.

Very rainy day today. Also had some car trouble (ask Brian how he lost his crocs!), but made it through! Got a little wet out there, but had fun!

D.CO. U was grinning from ear to ear this morning. He is quite proud of his sneaking on the bed! Had a good walk (waved at the barking poodles), and some breakfast, which he ate with abandon! Had to check the bushes for kitties of course! This afternoon he was less than amused at the incoming storms, but still wanted to get out and about for a bit. He loves walking around the lot, and even tried to make friends with a police sergeant. Really wanted to chase the birds as well. Very stubborn about PT today, but got him through it, then he got his massage and kong. He was more interested in playing today, so we played a bit before I left. Here are some pics from this morning; U eating, and checking for cats on the way to the car. :) I know theyre not the best pics, but his need to check for kitties always makes me giggle.

M.SL. J was adorable today. Check out the video below. Audio is horrible, but I got him to say "hi" to you! He was great on our walk, until the very end when the storms started making noise over the mountians, then he just wanted to get back indoors. He was fine after that, but I still hated to leave him knowing he was a bit scared. Gave him his meds and refilled his water as well. As you can see from the video, Brian had yet to lose his shoes.....

G.LI: Thank you so much for being so understanding today! My roadside assistance coverage apparently leaves much to be desired. And sorry for the confusion on the numbers. We have 4 lines, and are trying to make it less confusing. Anyway, B was fine when we got there, although VERY happy to see us! Had a nice walk since it was cool out, but was still a bit wet. Good thing I keep towels in my car! Didnt get any pics since it was still drizzling an water plus phone cam is never good!

K. WE: S was STILL at the kitty ramp today! Lots of belly rubs for her! She is such a sweetie! Messy eater though! Her food was all over her mat! gave her fresh food and water, and cleaned her litter box. Very happy kitty! Totally forgot to take pics today, since we were still recovering from our lovely experience with roadside assistance. Oh! Had some trouble with your lock today. Very odd!

Happy Birthday to me! Got to spend a pretty good birthday with some really awesome pets. Can't really complain. Here are the updates for this morning/early afternoon. Late afternoon and evening visits to follow.

D.CO: Talked to you this afternoon so not much else to report. Thought I would share some pics of U searching his favorite bush for cats this afternoon. Not much to report at the GC this morning, other than the barking poodles. Hopefully we will run into some of his friends tonight, but I swear that noone remembers who I am! Thinking of making a sign that says "THIS WAY TO COME SEE U!" LOL. :)

L.AL: OMG R was wound up today! Played some ball before the park, but even after playing at the park, he still wanted to play with the ball! I swear he was channeling B! So I stayed a bit extra and we played ball in the back yard again. So cute that they were both so into it today! B got a little over zealous at one point and I almost lost a hand, but I'm fairly quick! Had a great time watching them run like maniacs!

M.SL: J was his usual happy self today! Had his meds, and then went for a walk. He got to check out the birds again today, and visit his favorite tree. I love the way he trots around with a huge grin on his face, and his ears flopping behind him. Really hard not to be happy with him around! Hard to get a good pic of him today since he was so wiggly!

It's been a crazy week here at ITDH, and I landed myself in Urgent are (again!!!) last night, so o blog. I managed to strain my back while lifting the dog's pool so I could drain and clean it out. That will teach me! Much better today, thankfully. Last night I couldnt stand up straight!

On with the updates!

D.CO: U was raring to go this morning. We played and had a bit of a massage. I cant get him to massage my back, but the snuggles and kisses work just fine. He had a good walk (only after thoroughly checking the bush next to my car for cats), and ate all of his breakfast. This afternoon when I showed up, he was on the bed! Guilty look on his face again, but it's really hard to be mad at him with that face, ya know? I told him he isnt supposed to jump up there without help, but all he did was wag and smile and nudge my legs, so Im not sure he was listening. Went and explored more bushes before doing his PT, which he wasnt all that interested in, except the massage!

G.LI: B was happy as usual today. Left you a long note. My bad! Anyway, she is doing much better on the lease, and I have her some treats and belly rubs. She wasnt thrilled about going into her crate, and gave me such a pitiful look!

M.SL: J was so happy today! The minute we got outside he was grinning and trotting and had us laughing so hard! He is just the coolest! He had spit his pills out into his food bowl (sneaky!) so I made sure he actually swallowed his meds this time! Tried to get him to play dead, but he kept coming up and giving me kisses - what a ladies man! Charmed the treat right off of me!

K.WE: S is doing great! Played with the toy mice for a bit again, and then she ceremoniously vomited at my feet (no worries! I cleaned it all up!). She got some belly rubs, clean food and water, scooped her litter and some catnip again. She's a pretty happy, laid back girl!

Just a quick update to let you all know that Im sorry for the lack of updates yesterday. Brian had an emergency and had to leave town , and I was a bit rushed trying to get everything covered. The other day on of our dogs took me out at the knee, and i managed to knock it all the way out yesterday, so not only were we short staffed, but I was hobbled and in pain. Back to normal today (well, its still just me, but i can handle it!) though. Updates for today will be posted later this evening.

D.CO: Saw you this morning so not much to report! This afternoon we went out to the park for a bit, but made sure that U didnt walk too much. Mostly just getting out for a bit and sniffing around. Then we went back and did his PT, which he was NOT interested in today, but I managed to coax him into it. Did his stepovers, side bends, and massage. He was all love, as usual, but just didnt feel much like working today.

G.LI: B was happy as usual today! Had a great walk, and she is getting so good on the leash. She was smiley and excited to get out! Made sure she had water once we got back. She is getting really good with "shake" too!

M.SL: J was so happy today! He was all wags and grins and was trotting around like a young pup! He did some tricks for us (I just love play dead!), and had a great walk. He even tried to chase a couple of birds again! We're having a great time with him, and he is such an awesome boy! Gave him all of his meds, fed him and gave him fresh water, and, as you can see, lots of lovin!

J.MU: Hope you got my VM! K is still doing great! She was so happy and excited this morning! Had a great walk, and some belly rub time. Pic below is after she got her treat before we left. She took it and ran outside with it and laid down. Such a gorgeous girl! Had a great last visit with her tonight, although it was hard to go. She is such a good girl. Had a nice long walk, and she even chased a lizard. Lot of hugs and belly rubs, made sure she had food and water and gave her treats. Fed the fish and scooped the extra as usual. I really am going to miss her so much!

D.CO: U was hilarious this morning! All smiles and wags! Had a great walk this morning, and lots of loving and even some belly rubs. Ate his breakfast like he was famished, and then laid down for a nap. When we got there this afternoon, he was up on a chair (where he isnt supposed to be) and had the guiltiest look on his face! Did some stepover work, but I have to get some wood cut, since he has figured out how to go around instead of over. Smart boy! Got him to do his side bends with no problems, and went out to the park for a bit, but made sure he didnt overdo it. Mostly he sniffed around. Had a good time at the golf course this evening. U ran into Ruby and her mom! He was so excited! He ate well, and was all smiles and wags.

E.TH: M was in a great mood this morning, and gave me more hugs, and got more belly rubs! He is really beig lovey with me, and it is so much fun! Had a great walk to the park. New wood chip piles at the park today, and M seemed confused by them and mostly wanted to walk around and sniff. Played with his toys when we gt back (check out the video!), and gave him lots of love. He is such an awesome boy and I'm glad to be spending time with him again.

K.KA: Well, my last visit with G was bittersweet. I got used to him runing up and meowing for affection, and following me around. Brushed him a bit, cleaned his litter boxes, freshened his food and water. Still cannot figure out how he opens that heavy office door, but he does! Smart kitty! I am really going to miss hanging out with that little guy. He will be really happy to see you though!

L.AL: OMG B was hilarious today! She was all over the place! Bouncing off the walls! I was laughing so hard I had tears rolling down my face. Had a great walk, and played ball at the park. R was very into being His Majesty today, and wanted lap time. At first, he didnt want to leave, but once we got going he thought it was the best idea ever. Love them so much! As always, B was happy to see Brian. So sweet how they have bonded.!

M.SL: J was s much fun today! Check out the video below! Had a great walk today. J was so happy, he was trotting and smiling the whole time. Did some tricks and he had dinner (with yogurt!). Got him some fresh water and he got lots of lovin. He is such a cool dog!

Been a busy day here at ITDH. The past few days have been so hectic that we are actually considering cutting back our hours during the fall and winter so that we don't hit burn out. This would mean our first petsits would start at 8 am, and our last petsit would end at 8pm. Right now we are working 16 hour days, parenting, and caring for our own dogs, and those days are a killer! So just a heads up!

H.HM: We are certainly going to miss L!! She has been alot of fun to spend time with, and has made us laugh whenever she picks up her kong. Had a great walk this morning, and she is really good on the leash! Made sure she had fresh water before we said our goodbyes.

J.MU: K was happy as always this morning! Lots of belly rubs and pets! Had a really long walk this morning, and she loved it! I kinda lost track of time, so her walk was longer than usual! She also loves playing "chase" around the house. Eating and drinking well. Such a sweet girl!

D.CO: Saw you this morning, so nothing to report there. It was very rainy this afternoon, so we went out for a bit, but U still thinks raindrops are NOT COOL! so we weren't out for very long. Set up a stepover course using his toys. SO cute since he would stepover all but the end one, which he would pick up and play with for a bit. Gave him some massage, and he rolled over and decided that he must have belly rubs!

K.KA: G was vocal again today, and is still opening the office door! I don't know how the little guy does it! He is eating and drinking well. Freshened up all his food and water and his litter today. He had fun playing with one of his toys and rolling around on the floor!

E.TH: M surprised me this morning by jumping up on me and giving me a hug! It was so sweet! He was raring to go today, and we had a fast walk to the park. Was still wet out at the park since it has been raining so much, but still kept his bandage dry. He had a great time, and i just love him!

G.LI: B was goofy as usual today! All smiles and love! Doing great on the leash, and waiting on corners to cross the road on our walks. She is such a lover dog! Made sure she had fresh water as well.

It has been a busy day, folks. Here is the last update for the day.

D.CO: U had a blast at the golf course tonight. He made a new friend named Arthur and ran into his one eyed chihuahua friend again. Saw a few of his other friends as well, but we seem to keep missing Cisco. Wondering if they are starting out on the other side of the course or something, since when we have seen them, they are crossing over the green from the other side. U was still excited and happy. He ate well, and let me put some heat on his leg for a bit as well. He is starting to give me the guilty look when I leave as well. :(

J.MU: K was feisty and happy again tonight. Had a great walk, and she ate well. She is drinking water well too. The fish is doing great too. He is funny since he swims up to the top when he sees the food container! Played ball a bit and K got lots of affection and belly rubs. Blogspot isnt letting me upload the pics, hopefully it will stop being tempermental in the morning.

Well, I found a few more minutes to update the blog, so I thought I would post the afternoon updates.

D.CO: U was happy and excited again this afternoon! He would not hold still for pics again, but i managed to snap a couple despite his wiggliness.He wanted to play, and weave between my knees, and chase the black kitty (i think that one is favorite: check out the "but i wanna chase him!!!" pic below!). Went for a good walk. Pretty brisk, but slowed our pace on the way back. He really seems to be feeling great today. He did, however, detest the random drops of rain, and looked at me like "um, could you make that stop! It's not good!" Did some more side bend exercises and a little massage before I left. He really loves the massage part. I think he thinks he is just getting spoiled!

M.SL: J is such a good dog! Had a great visit. He was asleep when we got there, but didnt mind getting up to go for a walk. Made sure he had fresh water, and promptly went back to sleep after his walk! No tricks this visit. Maybe he will do some more for us tomorrow. We are enjoying getting to know J, and he seems to like us as well.

Just a quick word before I post the upates, we are going to have to go to a once a day update on the blog. Due to the number of visits we are running daily, we don't have time to drop in and update, since it takea a good hour to get all the pics uploaded, etc. Hopefully as things slow down once vacation season is over, we will be able to update throughout the day again.

E.TH: M was feisty this morning! He remembered me almost immediately ("Hi lady that takes me to the park! Wanna scratch my belly?")! He let me scratch his belly ALOT, and had a great walk. He kept plunging into the bushes, and would emerge with little water droplets all over him. Had a good time at the park. Managed to keep his bandage pretty dry, despite his love of digging in the water bowl. Great to spend time with him again!

D.CO: U was SPUNKY this morning! He was trying to chase the kitties, getting into their bowls, trying to jump over the puddles, and trying to run all over the place. Good to see him feeling better, but he was just a bundle of energy!! Just talked to you so not much to report until after his afternoon and evening visits.

K.KA: G was vocal again today! He loves being brushed so much! Definitely an escape artist though, since he managed to open the office door again! No sign of ants, which is always a plus! I scooped out his litter boxes and gave him fresh food and water. He followed me around the whole time, meowing and wanting his belly rubbed. He is such a lover cat!

H.HM: Was good to see L again! Had a great walk again. She played with her ball and her kong for us a bit, and was raring to go on her walk. She is such a happy and sweet girl!

J:Mu: K was very excited this morning! She is loving her walks with us, and of course, loves playing ball in the hallway. She is always so excited to see me! It's the sweetest thing! She is eating and drinking well, and is as spunky as ever. She lover her belly rubs too!

M.SL: J was so funny this morning! We even got him to play dead for us. Gave him his meds, and you're right! He is loking so much better. He enjoyed getting out for a walk, and got lots of affection.

L.AL: B and R were happy as usual today! B really loves Brian, it's hilarious. If he gets down on her level she almost tackles him and insists on kisses and loving. Rudy loves him too, although he spends more time with me. It was POURING rain today, and they wanted no part of going for a walk or outside. We convinced them to at least go potty, which they were NOT happy about at all, but they did it, and we hung out and played and loved on them for an hour. B seemed to like playing tug of war with her baby more than actually getting out and walking. And of course, Mister R enjoyed playing fetch, sitting in my lap, and was very upset with me for making him get his paws dirty. :)

It has been an interesting weekend for us! Bad luck abounds, between my very expensive brake job on the ITDH mobile, my broken toe, and my bank losing a deposit, I'm hoping things look up! Thankfully I have been able to spend time with all of your pets today, and their happy dispositions and cute antics make the day so much better!

Pictures will be posted this afternoon. Think we need a new camera battery, since ours is only holding a charge for about 2 hours. So as soon as that is charged again, I will post the pics.

J.MU: K is such a joy to spend time with! She is such a happy and loving girl! Had lots of Belly rubs this morning, and she played ball with me for a bit before deciding that she HAD to have her walk RIGHT NOW! Had a great walk - your neighborhood really is becoming my favorite place to walk! K sniffed all over, and greeted everyone that passed by. She really is the friendliest girl! Ate well this morning, and had lots of water after our walk. Fed the fish before K's walk, and scooped the extra before leaving. K got her treats, and lots and lots of hugs and kisses!

K.KA: G was talkative today! He is also a smart kitty - he has figured out how to open the office door and greeted me in the hallway. Pretty slick! Ants had invaded where G's food was in the kitchen, so I moved it to the other side, dumped out the old food and gave him new food. Freshened all of his water and litter boxes as well. He didnt want to be brushed today, so we played with the paper in the hallway. He was sliding all over the place! So cute! He barely stopped moving today, so some of the pictures are blurry - sorry! He was just so excited! I think he really misses you.

M.MS: J was very shy at first today, but warmed up after a bit. He seems to be more hesitant with Brian than with me, but is learning the Brian is his friend, and gives lots of ear scratches. Gave him his meds, and we had a nice walk. Looking forward to spending more time with him this afternoon. He is such a sweet boy!

Ok folks, time for me to get moving! I will get the pics up here after my late afternoon visits are done, and the darn battery on the camera charges enough to transfer them!

D.CO: Went over and gave U his heat and massage. He loooooved it! He laid back, closed his eyes, and started to doze off. By the time I was done, his muscles were less tight, even though they were still a little swollen. But it seemed to help, and he was in much better spirits when I left than when I got there. I'm glad that the massage tehniques and the heat seem to help him. Poor dude was breaking my heart!

J.MU: K was super excited tonight! She was all kisses and love when I got there, and was all about the belly rubs, and playing with her tennis ball in the hallway. She was much calmer on her walk this evening, probably since it was cool out tonight, and there were less people around. Lovely walk with her! Refilled her food and water, and fed the fish as well (fed before our walk and scooped out the letovers just before I left). Had a great visit tonight!

Client Updates - Saturday 8.22.09 - morning/afternoon visits

Well it has been an eventful morning here! Had to change a tire first thing this morning, and then my brakes went outa couple of hours later. Needless to say, the ITDH mobile is spending some time with a few mechanics today. Thankfully I only have this evenings visits to worry about, and the car should be done by then.

On with the updates!

J.Mu: K was so lovey this morning! She greeted me at the door, but i insisted on washing my hands before petting her, since I had some tire muck on my hands still. Of course, the minute they were clean, it was time for belly rubs, kisses, and hugs! We had a great walk this morning. It was beautiful outside, and K showed me all the god spots for sniffing. She als said hello to everyone that passed by, and was great on the leash! Your neighborhood is a great one for walking - lots of hills and a great view of the tram. Had a blast! Once back at your house, K and I played with the ball a bit, and she hung out with me while I scooped the extra fish food out of the bowl (the fish seemed amused). Then we had more belly rubs, I made sure she had lots of clean water and that her doggy door was working ok, and she had her treat. She laid down on the couch by the door when I left, and I reassured her that we would have another great walk and playtime tonight. I also double checked all the doors and windows, and made sure that the garage door was all the way down.

K.KA: G was his usual talkative lovey self today. He really wanted to climb into the food bags! Brushed him for a bit again, and he spent some time staring at some birds that were outside the door. He is eating and drinking and all the good stuff, and is just a happy boy. I'm enjoying spending time playing with him. Will post some pics of him later this evening, since the camera is in the car, which is still down at Just Brakes.

Hi all! In case I haven't mentioned it lately, you guys are the best clients ever! Thank you all for your continued support, kind words, referrals, an overall kindness. We are blessed to be able to work with you!

D.CO: U was our only visit this evening, so he got some extra time. He was pretty sore, so we gave him 1/2 a Rimadyl, and loved on him lots. Took him down to the Golf Course, and he was the official greeter for the evening since he wasn't allowed to walk. None of his friends showed up while we were there though. Did get to talk to you tonight, so not much else to report. He was in good spirits, and was happy to see us, but bummed that he didnt get to go wander around. He ate well, and enjoyed lots of belly rubs and hugs and kisses. Had a few rough spots tonight, so hanging out with U boosted my spirits, as always. No pics tonight since my phone camera doesnt have a flash (you would think a pocket PC would have a flash, right?), and we need to charge the battery on the camera. Now if I can just manage to keep my phone *ON* me and not lying around the golf course, and charge that battery life will be perfect! Looking forward to getting together to hit the river tomorrow.

Today's updates:

B:SI: C was such a happy girl this morning, even though we woke her up!! Went over to the park and she met some new doggy friends. She was really good with them! Had a nice, long walk today. Had breakfast when we got back, and made sure she had fresh water. Managed to NOT set any alarms off today as well! ;)

H.HM: Libby was her usual happy an excited self again today! Played with her kong again today. She loves showing off how she can get the apples out! Doing great on the leash! After she gets some energy out she heels naturally and is so well behaved. She is always a joy to spend the morning with. Gave her some fresh water and moved it into the shade when we got back. She was tired after her walk, so she promptly laid down for belly rubs and a nap.

D.CO: Saw you this morning so not much to report on U's morning adventures! His Appt with Dr. H went well. Left you a VM about it and left all the paperwork on our table. She did suggest foregoing his walk tonight since he will be sore from his visit with her, and instead to focus on massage and PT, so that's the plan. He had a great time on the water treadmill, and I have to tell ya, everyone there LOVED him! Dr. H said he shoud be the bully poster child! I have to agree. U has a way with making people fall right in love with him, and B and I are certainly no exception!

K.KA: G was all purrs today! I don't know if he just like how I react to him, or if he really likes me, but he meows when he hears me, and runs right up for head scratches, and then winds around my ankles as I get him fresh water and make sure his fod bowl is filled, and his litter box clean. He loves to be brushed, so I sat with him and brushed him for a bit before we played "watch George slide around the floor while chasing toys". He really is a sweet kitty boy!

L.AL: B and R were awesome as usual today. Very excited today, and they are doing so well on the leash. Really picking up when we tell them "leave it", which we usually say when they see someone they really want to chase. Had a great time at the park. B and Brian are close buddies and she loves it when HE throws the ball, since he gets to run farther. R prefers to hang out with me, sometimes he chases the ball, other times he plays with the pine cone or get belly rubs. B left your note for you today, hope you can read his writing! Unfortunately the camera battery died before we could get any good pics. Hopefully I can get some more video on Monday. Would love to get some of R actually chasing the ball!

It was a beautiful morning out there today! My daughter started her first day of 3rd day today, so I was suffering my usual first day of school blues (my daughter and I are very close. and after being with her almost constantly for 3 months, I'm having a touch of separation anxiety). But I have the best clients in the world, and it is really hard to be blue when I show up to visit and my canine companions are smiling, wagging, and happy to see me! Sorry about all the bad cell phone pics today. I used to camera for some of them, but Brian has the camera with him so I cant upload those until he gets home.

H.HM: Libby was so excited that she was squealing this morning! Had a great walk. Doing better every day on the leash with us, and she is hardly pulling at all! Made sure she had fresh water after our walk. When we left, she was playing with her Kong, totally focused on getting the apples out. So much fun to watch!

D.CO: U is getting happier and happier to see us with every visit. Yesterday he gave me a bunch of kisses, and this morning he was giving Brian kisses! Of course accompanied by his usual faster than lightning tail wagging. He played with his purple toy again, and then we set out for his morning walk. He decided that on the ride over he did not want to lay down with his nose in between the seats like he normally does, but instead insisted on sitting in my daughter's booster seat. It was hilarious and adorable at the same time. He made some new friends at the golf course this morning as well. Noticed that you had fed him, and he had eaten all his food. On our afternoon visit, he was half awake. I think I interrupted his nap! He was still happy as ever, giving kisses and wagging. Walked over to the park, but didnt do much walking other than that. We sat in the shade and he sniffed around some. Did some range of motion exercises, etc. He seems to tolerate them really well. His weight bearing looks good today too. Gave him his kong before I left, and he was happily nibbling on it when I left.

G.LI Well, you were home today when I came to walk B, so obviously nothing new to report! ;) But here are a couple of pictures from our walk. She doesnt hold still much, but I managed to snap a couple!

K.KA: G is still doing well. Such a Low Maintenance dude. I brushed him for a bit, we played with one of his fihing pole type poles, and then he ignored me. Seems to be eating and drinking, and most certainly napping! Will post some pics as soon as Brian gets home with the camera. :)

Sorry for the late update, folks! Busy day, and had to get my little one ready for her first day of 3rd grade tomorrow! It's late and I am so tired. I hope that my updates make sense! :)

H.HM: L was so very excited again today, running around like crazy and making her happy lab noises, which I just love! She played with her kong with us for a bit before our walk (see video below), and played with the ball with us for a bit as well. Had a great walk. Took the route with lt of hills again, and by the time we were done, we were all ready for some rest time! Made sure she had lots of water before we left, an when we did leave, she gave us the sad lab look. Makes it so hard to go!

D:CO: U was a happy man this morning! Greeted us with los of smiles and wags an pushing through our legs! Had a good walk this morning, and he ate like he was starved! This afternoon we took things a little slower since he seemed a bit sore, so we concentrated on sitting out in the sun and doing some rang of motion exercises. They seemed to help him, and he wasn't as stiff when we left. Went to the golf course and ran into some of his friends tonight. There was a couple there that we hadnt met before, but I was on the phone with you, so I didnt catch their names. Walked with F for a bit, but F wanted to run, so we turned around and greeted some other dogs and humans. Spent about 35-40 minutes at the golf course, then went back to the house and U had dinner. He also ate all the stuffing out of his kong today! Hungry man!

L.AL: Had a great visit with B and R today. Both got nail trims since they had little daggers for nails. They were both really good about it as well. Walked to the park and broke in the new tennis balls. The old ones were getting a bit icky. Had some treats and everyone got belly rubs when we got back. As you can see, B and Brian are great buddies!

K.KA: Had a great first visit with G. He was happy to see us, and chased sme newspaper down the hall way for a bit. He purred like a motorboat when I brushed him, too! Much more social today than I was expecting! He really wanted to go chase some birds that were out in the courtyard, but I talked him into playing with one of his toys instead.

Very busy day today! I apologize for not being able to leave my normal detailed notes today, but between petsits, walk, Doctor Appointments and getting my daughter ready for school, I was pressed for time today. Thank goodness for the blog! Sorry about the size of some of the pics. Brian's camera seems to be stuck on thumbnail for some reason.

H.HM: Oh wow Libby is such a bundle of love!! She was running in circles and making her happy lab noises when we got there. And of course, she was showing us how to get the apples out of her kong again. That is one of the cutest things I have ever seen! She was raring to go on her walk, and we took alot of hills today. She seemed to actually start to tire out by the time we were done. Had a blast with her! Looking forward to doing it again tomorrow!

S:KN: Welcome home! Our last morning with S was eventful! Poor baby had an upset tummy again last night, and had diarrhea in the house. No worries though! We cleaned it up for you! She was still perky, and wanted to go for her walk, but wasnt very interested in food. I made sure she had clean water, and I left her food out with her incase she decided she wanted some. She will be so happy to see you, but we will certainly miss her. She is a very sweet girl, and we bonded on our visits. I will miss her little head butts and how excited she would get to get out and walk!

D.CO: U was so happy this morning! He greeted us at the door, and even played with us with his purple "bobo" toy for a while! It was awesome! Had our morning walk, and some breakfast. Did a few range of motion exercises with him in the morning, but mostly played and loved on him. His afternoon visit went well too! He was a little lazier than in the morning, but soon perked up. Took him out back to potty, and he found a wounded bird, and desperately wanted to eat it. Of course, We didn't let him, and he pouted a bit. Went over to the park for a bit, but didnt do alot of walking. Did more range of motion and light massage with him. He really does love light scratches over his leg! I really am dying to try than exercise with the scrunchy, so I think I may stop and pick one up in the morning. His evening visit was good as well. He always gets the most excited for that visit. He is ready to go the second we open the door. Didnt run in to as many friends tonight, but U seemed to have a good time anyway. Seem like we are either just leaving as people get there, or they are leaving as we get there. We went at the same exact time last night and tonight, and it was very different both nights. U wolfed down his dinner, and was doing the "going through legs" thing with Brian. Brian wrote your notes for me today, since I was stuck on the phone half the day trying to get my cell provider to fix a double billing. Hope you can read his writing!

G:LI: B was bouncing off the walls happy today! So excited! She is getting used to us walking with her, but still has moments where she stops and sits down so we can rub her belly. It's adorable! She loves to go fast, which is always fun. Good workout for us! Made sure she went potty right away, and also before she went back into her kennel. Gave her fresh water too. She is just such a happy, cool dog!

L.AL: B and R were very excited today! We walked to the park, and they both did so good! B is really getting used to all the construction guys being around. Played ball as usual, and Rudy is joining in more and more often! B was also very excited to see her new friend Brian!

S.KN: S was happy and perky this afternoon! Followed me around while I watered the plants, and was head butting me, looking for affection. He got lots of ear rubs and back scratches, and was smiling and wagging! T was napping this afternoon, and C was out and about doing her kitty things. This evening S was raring to go on her walk, and was full of energy. She found lots of interesting things to sniff! She had her dinner and her flexitabs, and then laid down to relax. She is such a sweet and laid back girl!

D.C: Left you lots of notes at your house! U was wonderful today, and I am so glad that he was in such a great mood today! His afternoon visit was nice and relaxed, focusing on just getting out of the house but not walking much, and range of motion exercises and the like. Our evening visit was awesome! U was so excited to get out and see all of his canine and human friends at the golf course. He had a blast on his walk, and we stood around talking and he hung out with C and everyone else, sniffing and playing. He was grinning from ear to ear! Couldnt get pics tonight since the light was so low and my phone camera doesnt have a flash.

It's a beautiful morning, and I had a blast getting out with the dogs. I have the best canine clients in the world, and starting my morning with them is just the best! I hope all of you are having a fabulous morning as well!

B.SI: C was awesome and in a great mood this morning! Had breakfast, and had a great walk through the neighborhood. Met another dog on our travels this morning, and C sniffed at him and then just kept moving. "Sorry new dog friend! Can't talk now! Have to walk!" She really does love to get out and about! Refilled her water and spent some time giving her loving. She is such a happy girl that it's impossible to have a bad morning with her around!

H:HM Had a Great first visit with L. She was a bit nervous at first, but once she realized who we were, she got very excited! She had to show us her kong trick with the apple slices. Very impressive and so incredibly cute! Once we grabbed her leash, she sat right away so that we could get her leash on, and then we headed out for our walk She was so well behaved on our walk, and had a great time walking with us and sniffing around. Made sure she had plenty of water, and gave her lots of affection when we got back. She loves having her belly rubbed! She is just a really sweet and well behaved girl! She did seem sad when we left, and it was hard to have to leave her! Looking forward to seeing her again tomorrow morning!

S.KN: S was thrilled to see me this morning! She was raring to go on her walk! She went straight to the gate and waited for me to leash her and head out. Once out of the gate, she wanted to go go go! Had a good 15-20 minute walk, and she let me brush her again while she ate her breakfast. While I fed the kitties, she kept walking up to me and nuzzling against me. So sweet! T was singing away this morning, and was thrilled to have some lettuce. C wanted lots of love too, and spent alot of time rubbing on my ankles and letting me scratch her under her chin. Saw N peeking out from the neighbors lawn again, but the minute I pull out the camera he takes off! Refilled everyones water as well. After all was done S went t her blankets and relazed. She seems to really like napping in the shade there! Looking forward to hanging out with S while I water the plants this afternoon. She seems to like watching me water the plants. Some of the tomatoes are starting to ripen, and may get to pick some today!

D.CO: Well, U was just a bundel of happy this morning! He was so happy to see me that it just melted my heart, and I had to get down on the floor and kiss and hug him for a bit. He was wagging like crazy, and then went into the kitchen and started licking the heck out of the kitty bowls! Managed to get him to hold off lng enough to get out for our morning walk at the golf course, which made U all kinds of happy. He was all smiles, and had a last sniffing everything and walking with me. After our walk, we went back to the house and I made I his breakfast. He ate all of it right away, and was thrilled about it. Went out back and made sure he went potty, then came back and did some range of motion exercises, but I kept it light since I want to concentrate on those for our afternoon visit. When I left, he followed me to the door, and gave me his "wait, you're leaving!?!" look, and man! It just gets so hard to leave him! So I gave him a few more minutes of collar scratches and kisses before I headed out. Can't wait to see him again this afternoon!

And just for fun, this is my 110 lb "Great Labradane", Marleigh. She is a spoiled rotten, big goofy yellow Behemoth hound, and the canine love of my life. I rescued Marleigh from the Westside Shelter last July after she had been found wandering around on the 4th of July. She had tags on her collar, and a microchip, but when her owner was contacted, they told the shelter that they didn't want her back. I had gone just to see if there was a dog that I connected with, since I was looking for a big dog to walk and run with - not just a dog but a companion; a best friend. I saw Marleigh, and it was love at first sight. I had to wait almost 2 weeks before she could come home, since legally they have to allow 14 days or the owner to claim or relinquish an animal, even though her owners had said they did not want her. I waited, albeit impatiently, and on July 16, Marleigh came to live with me in her forever home. She was barely a year old when she came home, and had lots of bad habits and severe seperation anxiety, but with lots of love, positive reinforcement, training and a lot of exercise, Marleigh has become an amazing dog. I can't imagine life without her, and I wanted to share her with all of you. Currently, Marleigh weighs in at 110lbs, stands close to my waist on all fours, and can put her paws on my shoulders while standing on her hind legs. She adore anything that squeaks, and lives to disembowel stuffed animals. She loves the dog park, and going down to play in the water at the river. Actually, Marleigh loves all water, and even has her own pool. She is shy at first with strangers, but is great with children and loves making new dog friends. She is just a great dog, and I am so lucky to have her.

Yesterday was a rough personal day for me, so I was not able to update the blog as planned. Everything is ok, but everything that could go wrong, did. Special Thanks to Deb for listening to me whine and complain and lifting my spirits!

Sunday updates:

S.KN: S was in high spirits Sunay morning! She was so eager to get out for her walk that she drug me through the gate! She was all wags and smiles, and it's really ice to see her so happy when I show up. She is such a sweet girl, and I just love her. T was chirping up a storm, and we had a little sing along! He was extra excited over his carrot too. C was rubbing around my ankles, and got lots of pets. On our afternoon visit S followed me around while I watered, and she let me brush her for a bit. C was out sunning herself in the front yard, and T was amused by my fumbling with his water bottle. Our evening visit was lovely. It was cooling off a little so S was energized and was really happy on her walk! We caught a glimpse of N hanging out n the neighbors lawn, so he is doing ok too! T was asleep when i got there, but quickly woke up to sing with me He is so cute! Still can't get S to look at the camera though!

B.SI: C was excited as always! All wags and smiles and love! She immediately grabbed her frisbee, but we did't play with it. Instead we headed out to the park, and she ran around and sniffed and played with us. Keeping a close eye on her leg, hence the no frisbee! Got your message and fed her after our walk o our 5:30 visit. She ate right away, had some water, and settled in for some belly rubs. She is such a sweet and happy girl! Brian and C have a special bond, and she always goes crazy when she sees him. It's so sweet to watch! Had a great walk on our late visit as well. She seems to really love getting out and about at night!

Daily Client Update - Saturday 8-15-09

Not a very busy day today, but that is ok since we have a pet that is spending some time with the vet today. Thought I would post a quick update while I have the chance.

S.KN: S was doing well this morning when I got there. She has really warmed up to me, and is feeling much better than yesterday. It seems that there is a bug going around, so I made my morning visit to her a little earlier than usual since she had had some diarrhea and I wanted to make sure she wasnt having the same issues as another dog that I care for. She was fine, no more tummy upset and was eating and very excited about getting out for a walk. I think her bouts of diarrhea are more stress related than anything, and I can tell she misses you guys very much! She was also happy this afternoon, sunning herself a bit and begging for another walk. She really does love to get out. Caught another glimpse of N this morning as well. C brought us a bird this morning. She seemed quite proud of herself! Hopefully I will have some pictures up later on, since it is taking a good hour or s to upload to the blog for some reason.

Sorry for the delay on updates folks! My router was having some issues, an updating this thing from my phone takes a good 2 hours. Having router issues is horrible, since I can't get in here to update! Still having some issues loading pics, but managed to get some posted. :( We are all fixed and back online now, so here we go!

S:KN: S had an upset tummy overnight, but was feeling much better by this afternoon. She really enjoyed her walk this morning, and the one we took this evening as well! She didnt eat much this morning, but that was to be expected with her tummy being all upset. SHe did eat more this evening though. C was running around outside most of the day, but had snuck in to eat. T was chirping away as usual, and was thrilled to have some lettuce!

L.AL: B and R were so excited today!! B was running ALL over the park chasing the tennis balls, and R was getting in on it too! By the time we were done, B was spent! She didnt even go to the door with us when we left, choosing to stick close to the water bowl and lay on the cool tile instead. I took a video of her chasing the ball, Its not great, but it's something!

D.CO: U was happy to see us this afternoon, but I could tell he was missing you. Went to the park for his walk, walked about 15 minutes, and hung out and sniffed around for about 15 more. Once we got home, he went to his bed, an laid down for some belly scratches! This evening he was OMG excited! His tail was wagging like crazy, and he was whacking me in the legs with it! He was so excited about going to the golf course to see his friends! We got there and he saw a few of his friends (unofotunately no Cisco), and made a few new friends as well! Walked for 15 minutes and spent about another 20 or so siffing some bushes and chatting with all the other dog people. There were tons of golfers out though, so we were all disappointed that we didnt get to go out on the grass and check things out. Went back to the house, an U got lots of loving (even got his scratches with his collar off!), and played with one of his toys, an wathed the cat rub on my shoe. Spent a good hour and 15 minutes or so with him tonight. By the time I left he was like "hey! why are you still here?". Kidding! He gave me the "awwww just a few more minutes!" look, but i told him his mom would be home soon. Very excited that he can walk for a few minutes longer next week, and that we will be going out to the river!

J:Ca: Your roomie called us and had us come spend some time with L and P tonight. Both were fabulous as usual! Ate well, went potty, and barely barked when the T word's were brought out! Was wonderful seeing them! It was a last minute call, so I didnt manage to get any pics. :(

Client Update - Morning visits for 8-13-09

B.SI: C was excited as usual this morning! She has certainly bonded with Brian! We gave her breakfast, and she had her walk, meeting up at the park with a boxer and a Great Dane Puppy! She had a great time sniffing around and walking with us. Her leg is doing great today! No frisbee this morning as well. Really trying to keep that to a minimum since it really does seem to irritate that leg.

S.KN: S was very happy this morning! She went right to the gate to get out for her walk. Her tail was wagging so hard that it was whacking me in the legs! So cute! We had our walk, then came back and S had breakfast. C brought us a bird this morning, she was very proud of herself! T was chirping away as well! Great morning visit!

D.CO: U was waiting for us at the door today! Not one bark! He was happy and wanted affection! We went outside to go potty, then left for our walk at the golf course. He had a great time sniffing everything and watching the joggers go by. We sat under a tree for awhile as well, just loving on him and relaxing. Then, home for breakfast! He ate well, had some water, and then decided it was time to lay down and let me scratch him under his collar for a bit. He was throwing his head back and smiling like a happy man! Can't wait to get out with him this afternoon!

B.SI: C was so happy tonight!!! Lots of love and affection, and a great walk. Threw the frisbee for her a bit, but almost immediately her leg seemed to stiffen up, so Brian sat down with her and massaged her leg, and it improved immediately. Looks like she had a cramp more than it actually really acting up. In any case, we are probably just going to refrain from the frisbee for awhile, even though it's tough since we know she loves it sooooo much! About to head over for our last visit with her this evening!

S.KN: S was very happy and excited tonight! She is really starting to get to know me, and we are becoming good friends! Had a great walk tonight. She was really excited to get out and about, wagging and smiling alot! She ate all her food, had some water, and let me brush her for a good 10 minutes! T was happily chirping away while I filled his water, and scratched C behind her ears. Great visit tonight!

L.AL: B and R were awesome as usual! Brian came with me again, and B recognized him immediately and took her "baby" right to him. She was all over him, playing, giving him kisses. And she really does love how far he can throw the ball. I feel inferior, since I admittedly throw badly. Working on finding a new battery for the good camera so we can get some action shots at the dog park! R joined in chasing the ball for a bit today, but normally just runs after B, then runs back to us, smiling. He always cracks me up!

S.KN: S was happy to see me this afternoon. We hung out together while I watered the flowers. Spent some time brushing her as well. She seemed to really enjoy that! Forgot to mention that I put the trash out last night! Brought the can back up to the house today as well. C was sunning herself in a basket on the stand near the door. At first I didn't see her! T was singing away, and was so happy to have a carrot treat!! Looking forward to taking S for her evening walk. Have some pictures of her on my phone that I will upload this evening for you. :)

D.CO: Talked to you just awhile ago so not much else to report! Tried to get a pic of U and I together but it came out as me and the side of his head (posting it anyway so you can laugh at my horrible photography skills! I am looking forward to our morning outing tomorrow. Getting out with U was a great way to start the day, and I'm so glad that I get to spend so much time with him.

Unfortunately I was unable to update the blog last night due a computer issue, but we are back up and running again this morning!

S.KN: S was wonderful last night when I went to visit. She ate well, had a great walk, and her upset tummy seems to be a thing of the past. She was feisty and ready to get out and about this morning as well! She was fascinated with a flock of birds that was flying overhead this morning. So cute! She is eating and drinking well, and like I mentioned earlier, no signs of the upset tummy again this morning. Yay! Guinea pig is doing great. Drinking lots of water and singing away! C is eating and drinking and coming to me for affection. Such a sweet kitty! S seems to be camera shy, every time I try to get a picture of her, she turns her head and wont look back at me until I put the camera down!

D: CO: I had a great first visit with U this morning! He was still a bit sleepy when we got there, but perked up when he heard we were going for his walk. We went down to the trail at the golf course and walked for about 15 minutes, then hung out in the shade for a bit so U old get some affection. He is such a lover dog!! He was smiling the whole drive home, and of course, more lovins when we got there. Spent about a hour together this morning. Had a blast! Sent you a pic to your phone. Hope you got it!

Having a pretty relaxed day here at ITDH. Spent out morning at one client's house, and at the Doctor's for Brian's back. Tomorrow the pace picks up again, so look for more updates and pics!

S.KN: S was good this morning, Although she does have some stress diarrhea. Was a bit sluggish on her walk, but I am sure it is because her tummy was upset. I am keeping a close eye on her water intake to make sure she stays hydrated, and making sure that she doesnt get into anything that might upset her tummy, poor girl! Other than that, she was very sweet this morning, wanting lots of petting and affection, and even giving me a couple of kisses! C was haning out in the sunshine again! She LOVES attention and is just a sweetheart! No sign of N this am, but I am determined to at least get a pic of him! Heading out to go visit S for her midday visit in just a bit.

S.KN: S is still doing great. She was following me around the house while I fed the guinea pig and kitties. Caught a glimpse of N, but he ran off before I could snap a picture of him! S: KN: Talked to you this afternoon, so not much else to report. S is still being such a good girl, and the guinea pig is having a great time singing! Looking forward to getting out with S in a couple of hours! Having some issues with uploading pictures tonight, so I will get some up ASAP.

L: AL: I was so proud of B today! Only took her a few minutes to become the best of friends with Brian! I introduced them outside on the porch, then had him come inside, then out to the backyard before heading off to the park. She was a little growly at first, but within minutes realized he was a potential friend that may have treats or something, and went back to her usual happy, playful self. Tried to get some pics at the park but all I got was a black blur as B chased the ball. Really a great visit!! R spent alot of time with me and his pine cone. And of course, his "baby" He could care less that B was there! So funny! Can't seem to get blogger to let me upload pics at the moment, so I emailed them directly to you and will get them up here as soon as I can coax the site to do what I want!

J. LE: Great visit tonight! Both A and J wee happy and excited again! They ate and drank well, and went potty right away. Lots of affection for both, including J's usual belly rubs! Not sure if I mentioned it here before, but there are a few spots on A's right rear leg that I am keeping a close eye on. They look like older owies that she has been licking at. They have not been getting worse, and it seems like she is licking at them less. I did mention it in my notes to you though. Refilled their water and had some playtime. No Pictures tonight since the battery on my camera is dead!

S. KN: S is doing well. She took her flexitabs just as if they were treats! She ate well, and is drinking water. She seemed tired tonight, so we only walked for about 10 minutes. When we got back, she had some more water and lay down for a nap. She is really a very sweet girl. I brushed her a bit tonight as well.

J: LE: A and J were excited as usual on both our morning and afternoon visits today! I found a spot on A's back where if I scratch just right, she wiggles and twitches her leg. It's adorable! J had some time in my lap, and lots of belly rubs as usual. They are both being great about going out and going potty right away, and are both eating and drinking very well! J. LE: No pictures yet today, but both morning and noon visits went well! Tried to get some pics, but both A and J were running around like crazy! Such happy babies. Both ate well this morning, and got in some exercise and potty. Of course, J wanted belly rubs, and A wanted to have her ears rubbed. On our noon visit, J found a sunny spot and basked in the sun while I refilled the water bowls. Looking forward to our evening visits. Will try and get some good pictures for you!

S. Fi: C was in his kitty condo today when showed up. He got lots of ear scratches and even a tummy rub today! He seemed to enjoy watching me water the back garden from his condo perch. I am gonna miss that little guy! Hope that your trip went well and welcome home!

G. LI: Wow, B is such an active girl! Had a great time on our walk, although it was more jog than walk! She heeled perfectly and i even got her to shake today! She was very excited when I got there, so I let her out immediately, and put her leash on her outside. After our walk I let her go potty again, refilled her water as well as S's water, and we did some tricks and had a treat. B is a such a fun girl! Looking forward to our Tuesday walk! I will make sure that I take my camera so that I can get some good pictures of her. I'm sure she is very photogenic!

Client Update: Afternoon and evening visits for August 7

S. Fi: C was curled up behind the armoire again today. He did pop his head up for some treats and head scratches and pets though. He is eating and drinking well, and seems to not mind my being there at all. I like to talk to him as I go about his care, telling him how handsome and sweet he is. Sometimes he meows at me, like he is talking back! So sweet! No rain today, but I did water all the plants, so no problems there. Did get chased by a bee today though!

J. Le: A and J were excited to see us again! Brian came with me so that he could visit with them. A took to him quickly (as you can see in the picture!), and J was rolling over for lots of belly rubs. They didn't eat as well as I would have liked, so I gave them a little extra time, and also left J's food in his crate with him. They both ran around and played with us, and went potty right away. Such good babies! Also brought the trash
can up. Everything went very well, and got J into his crate with no problems again. 2 for 2 so far!!

So far it has been a great day!

E. Th: M was cheerful again this morning. Brian came along with us today since I was having a horrible allergy attack. M was wonderful with him, and even came to him for affection! He really has come a long way! He seemed to be confused by my constant sneezing though! He had a great time at the dog park, and everyone really loves his "water digging"! I am certainly going to miss spending my mornings with him. I told him that Mom was coming home today, and I am sure he will be so happy to see you!!!

L. AL: B and R were raring to go as usual today! B was all over me, and R was licking at my ankles again! We went out to go potty and then off for our walk to the park. They were both great on the walk, and had fun playing at the park. I still have yet to find a way to tire B out though! Maybe I should start jogging to the park with them! They didn't want to go back out to go potty before I left though. Hopefully that won't cause any accidents. They had some treats and belly rubs before I left, and B laid on the tile to cool off while I filled the water dish. Sorry about the weird pics. My belt clip got in the way of the camera lens!

J. Le: A and J were fine! I am glad that we added the midday visit though, they had to go potty! Both of them are so sweet! I am looking forward to spending more time with them this evening. No problems with the doors or J hiding under the bed. I just picked him up and snuggled him, and all was well! Will try and post some pics after our evening visit!

Today's client log:

S. Fi: C was napping in his spot behing the armoire when I arrived today. It was dark and rainy this afternoon, and i think he was taking advantage of the perfect napping weather! He did wake up and accept a couple of treats, but promptly curled up and resumed his nap. It looks like he has been eating well. His bowl was 3/4 empty today! I did water the flowers today, and of course as soon as I did so, it rained. No need to worry about the plants not getting enough water!

E. Th: M was pretty excited to get out for our morning walk/dog park visit! He only barked at me once, and then walked right up to me so that I could attach his leash and head out. He wanted some ear scratches and pets before we left, and even touched his nose to mine! He was great on his walk today, and had a blast wandering around at the dog park, and doing his "digging" in the water bowl. I really need to get a picture of that! Before I left, he came up and leaned against me, looking for some affection. Spent a good 5 or 6 minutes just petting him before he trotted off to lay in a cool spot. It has been so neat to see him transition from being so timid with me, to being happy to see me and asking for affection. He is just a great boy! I did manage to give him a hug for you as well! He will be so excited to see you tomorrow night!

My own dog has a strained muscle in her front leg, so I am off to tend to her injuries and do some range of motion exercises before bedtime. Hope you all have a wonderful night!
